¡Caution! Piso mojado!
These documents are currently under revision. We are getting close to releasing a major update to Tempo, and we are updating the Help section to match the new interface and views. This update is mostly design-focused, but there are some API changes as well. Read more about it all on our blog.

Is there a mobile web interface?
Yes! Just you point your phone or mobile web browser at m.keeptempo.com and you’ll be presented with a simple screen that allows you to enter your billing.
How do I log time through email?
In the Account section, Tempo allows you to set your own Email alias. After choosing an alias, you may log time by sending emails to your_alias@keeptempo.com and our software will read your time entry from the e-mail and record it in your account. You can put your time entry in either the subject or the body of the message, but it’s important that you use this format:
num_of_hours description #project @tag @tag @tag
Each label after an @-symbol is assumed to be either a tag name, or a project reference. First Tempo checks to see if the word is similar to any of your project names, and if not it is added as a tag. If none of the labels correspond to a project name, Tempo assigns the entry to your default Personal project.
Here’s an example logging 3 hours to a project named Conglomo Web Gate, and we want to tag it with the words development and testing:
3 Unit testing for modules in ISAPI filter #conglomo @development @testing
How do I log time with Twitter?
Just log into Tempo and enter your Twitter ID on the Account section. Be sure to save your profile at the bottom of the page before continuing.
Once Tempo knows your Twitter ID you can log time entries by sending a direct message to our ‘keeptempo’ account. The message must begin with d keeptempo and follow the standard message format. Consider the following example that logs 2 hours to the project ‘Tempo’ with ‘html’ and ‘documentation’ as tags:

IMPORTANT NOTE: Our keeptempo account must follow your account in order for us to recieve your messages (this is Twitter’s requirement, not ours). Tempo follows you automatically when add your Twitter id to your profile so you usually won’t need to do anything. However, if you have your Twitter account set to “protected”, then you must explicitly accept our friend request or you won’t be able to log time.
Can I use my iPhone?
Absolutely – in fact you can use iPhone’s Safari web browser to use the site as normal, or you can go to m.keeptempo.com to access an iPhone optimized time entry site.
Is there a Dashboard Widget for OS X ?
There sure is! You can download it here.
It’s rather straight-forward to use and it installs just like any Mac OS X Dashboard widget. Unzip the zipfile, and double click the tempo.wdgt file inside, which will install it to your dashboard.
Once installed, the first thing you’ll want to do is click the ‘i’ button that flips the widget to the back, so you can set your login information. For the site field, make sure you’ve got ‘https://app.keeptempo.com’.
Flip the app back over to the front and you’ll see that the widget provides the same command line text interface that’s available inside the web application. Simply type in what you’re working on to start a timer, or enter time you want logged.
